Kiya Tabassian and Ablaye Cissoko

In this concert inaugurating the 25th season of Constantinople, the master of the kora Ablaye Cissoko and the ambassador of the Persian setar Kiya Tabassian have chosen to pay homage to the estuary, this place where fresh water mixes with salt water which evokes passage, renewal, fertility; a space of transition and transformation blending the currents of their musical memories where unexpected possibilities emerge. Alongside them, their long-time accomplice, percussionist Patrick Graham, infuses rhythm and nuances. Over the years, their dialogue has grown, becoming a deep and inspiring musical conversation and creating an enchanting universe that suspends time and soothes spirits.
