Raccoon Raccoon is a raw talent. His flow, both calm and impactful, lends itself wonderfully to his lyrics, which are as nuanced as they are sharp. European-style textual refinement, American-style impactful flow, Haitian cultural background... Raccoon blends all these influences with great tact to arrive at a purely Quebecois final product. From the release of his first two albums, Gentil pour un noir (2019) and Le Set Up (2020), he caught the attention of the media, in addition to receiving a nomination at the GAMIQ. "Raccoon has the talent to go far," proclaimed La Presse, while Le Devoir described him as "a sharp rhymer with calibrated and intelligible prosody." His enlightened and engaged lyrics, with a touch of humor, have earned him significant recognition on streaming platforms as well as on community and university radio stations. Radio-Canada was also quick to highlight his talent: the rapper was named Rap Revelation 2020-2021 by the public network, which described his music as "an authentic mirror of our society." In 2021, Raccoon reached the finals of the Quebec leg of the international emcee competition End of the Weak, renamed La fin des faibles and broadcast on Télé-Québec. The following year, Raccoon continued his admirable evolution with his third album C00N la prophétie, an album that would take him to the stages of Osheaga and the ADISQ gala - for a memorable performance alongside Loud and Muzion. 2025 marks the release of the powerful manifesto Porter le coup, oublier.
