Milhan
Scène Crave – Place D’Youville
For Milhan, it all began with a journey: first to Madrid, then to Medellín (his mother's hometown) in Colombia, ten years after his last visit. This look back at a part of his past and his roots gradually nourished his music, blending Latin percussion, brass, and a bittersweet style of songwriting. In 2023, Milhan released Evisu, a bossa nova with pop influences, punctuated by the rock of guitarist Emile Masclanis, his sideman in concert. Still searching for a more intimate and sincere musical sound, inspired by his heartbreaks, the artist decided to delve deeper into his life, writing an EP entitled Mulato, a journal of his psychological and emotional journeys, a narrative of his ambivalence and homesickness. He played to a packed house at POPUP! Du Label in Paris for the release party.
